I am sure that you, like me, have received a gift you didn’t like, from a well-intended friend or family member.  It’s too small, too big, too green, too itchy . . . whatever.  Hoping to return or exchange the gift for something more your style, you eagerly go to the store and try to return the item, when you come face to face with the store’s dreaded return policy.  Did you know that a lot of stores only give their customers 14 days after the date of purchase to return an item?

Moreover, according to the National Retail Federation, $42.7 billion of the $437.6 billion in holiday sales will be returned.  Fortunately, SYMS has expanded their usual 30 day return policy during the holiday season. That’s right, any item purchased between November 5, 2009 and December 24, 2009 can be returned until January 24, 2010, with a receipt.
